Our mind has an information overload now. A busy mind is like a mob of scattered thoughts and emotions. The only way to handle it is to consciously create a distance between the thoughts and their intentions. In fact you have to learn to observe your thoughts and identify why you encourage a certain type of thought. Once that ability comes you will be able to manage your thoughts, avoid unnecessary thoughts and achieve quietness in mind, You will slowly be able to think without being emotional (dispassion) and express composure always.
