The infinite conscious energy that forms the base of all existence is like an ocean. Mind is an amalgam of thoughts of different kinds, which are like the waves on the ocean. These thoughts can be emotional, egoistic, intellectual, or intelligent. Prana, or life force is like the wind that causes the wave on the ocean. In other words, Prana agitates the inert consciousness to produce the thoughts or the mind. Hari Om.
