Bhoomi puja is our way of paying due respect to mother earth, who is going to sustain your house on HER. It is part of our culture to respect nature and anytime we intrude into it for e.g., cutting a tree, digging a well, changing the terrain of the land, cultivating a crop etc. we ask for nature’s permission and blessings, without which we cannot survive well. It is our understanding that man is a helpless creature if he is not abundantly supported by nature. My blessings as you start your construction. Hari Om.
