respected swamiji. first of all thank you so much for your valuable replies.it helped me a lot. now i am really confused.my schooling was done in a chrstian school.may because of that influence i was strongly believed in jesus.daily i will read bible and pray to jesus.because in my childhood there is no one like you to teach our holy books. because of your classes now i understood a little knowledge about our books.and i am trying to learn more.eventhough i am learning our books,now i feel emptiness in my mind.i am not able to pray.before i consider jesus as my friend.now i lost interest in everything. i lost my relationship with lord.because my mind is so confused to whom should i follow.how should i pray.i want god as my friend. what is the benefit of chanting without understanding its meaning. how can i build a strong bonding with my god.when panchali was insulted she cried out to krishna and he came to help her.how i can develop like that devotion. thank you subha

A lot of Convent educated kids have the same problem as you. I would however say you are in a much better position than a lot of people. Because you have developed a sense of friendship with God. It is a great way of devotion. Draupadi’s relation with Krishna was this great friendship as well. Meditate on Krishna’s beautiful form everyday for 15 minutes. Think of him as your best friend who will always be there for you, like he was there for Draupadi when no one else could help. Read his stories and talk to him on a daily basis, all big and small things in your life. Slowly you will realize he is with you, in you, and you are not separate from him. Hari Om.
