Swamiji please help me to get the answers of two questions 1) What is the importance of Kanikonna poovu during Vishukani? 2) In mahabharata, where did Pandavas and Kauravas reached after their deaths? It is commonly said that Kauravas went to swarga while Pandavas didin’t. But I read that all Pandavas attained Vishnuloka. Which one is correct? Hari Om!

1) Konnappovu attains its importance because the tree flowers only for a few days around the vernal equinox which is Vishu. Several stories are said connecting the flower to Sree Krishna, but scientifically the flowering of Konna denotes that time of the season.
2) Kauravas attained Swarga because they died while performing “Swadharma” as warriors. To die in pursuit of one’s Dharma would remove all their demerits and allow them to enter heaven. Pandavas on the other hand, had to live off their karmic burden which was corrupted by pride, arrogance, partiality and greed at different levels. They also were eventually allowed to Swarga. Hari Om.
