The nature of the mind determines the nature of the body it acquires. Every action needs a correction by the law of nature. A physically or mentally challenged body may be a carrier for a mind to live off some of its karmic burden. However, it is the duty of each of one of us to be understanding and kind to these individuals who we look upon as handicapped. We have to train our eyes to look at them as differentially abled and help them live to the best of their capabilities. Hari Om.
