Every soul continues it journey to the divine by acquiring a new body as needed. Please read the article on Karkidakavavu on the website. Your wife can pay her homage to your mother by doing any good deed that your mother wished to do. She can perform annual tharpanams too. However, every region has its own way of doing the rites on the 16th day of death. Follow the traditions in your region. Vicharam is more important than Acharam. Do charitable activities in places close to your Mom’s heart. Hari Om.
