Dear Swamiji, I joined a reputed institution for MBA. I am having a tough time here. It’s very competitive. I am not doing well in certain subjects inspite of trying hard. Other subjects I am just managing. My scores are not so great. There are students here who are really good and are doing well. How do I cope with this? Because of such failures I get into depression and disappointment. I get negative thoughts. I feel like crying especially in subjects which I don’t understand. How do I deal with this? Will being more positive whatever maybe the situation help. Also I have a disability and if I am not doing well academically its all the more disappointing. I don’t know what to do. Please advice.

If you are smart enough to get into a reputed institution for MBA, you are definitely smart enough to complete it in flying colors. Shake off all anxieties that you will not be able to do it. What you first need to do is tell yourself that “I can and I will” do it. Break the big task in front of you into smaller jobs and tackle it everyday without fail. Talk to one of your teachers who can guide you well and keep him/her as a mentor. Find a good friend for combine studies. You are in a highly competitive world and should be proud that you are in a highly competitive environment with students who are the cream of society. Get up and walk boldly, holding Vidya Devi’s hands. Chant Saraswathi Mantram every morning and evening. Hari Om.
