dear swamiji, my doubt is that, during the vistit at temple what we need to pray..?? why i am asking like this, from my younger days my parents said to me pray to god for getting good health,wealth,job like that..but now i am understanding praying like this foolish..then what we pray in temple??

Unfortunately, under the influence of other religions Hindus have come to understand temples are “prayer centers”. Praying was never the purpose of visiting temples. Temples should be looked upon as a “public Inner battery charging” place. You go there to make yourself aware of the infinite potential that remains dormant in you, before you go out into the world of duties and responsibilities. By looking at the deity (Darshan) you are consciously relating to that divine, infinite power in yourself. That is why temples are constructed in regions of high magnetic energy, the poojas are done with light energy, sound energy and tantric principles to maintain the positive energy field. That is why you are asked to take a bath or remove your shirt when you go there. We have to imbibe that energy into our aura when we visit the temple. Chanting mantras and keertans are also to utilize sound energy for that purpose. If possible sit in the temple premises and chant for sometime, and feel your being revitalized after the visit.
