When you see the picture of your father what happens in your mind? You become aware of your ties with him, right? Similarly, the darshan in the temple is to make you conscious of the divinity within you and to invoke that infinite power within you. It is like charging your battery to face and deal with the world. Unfortunately most people go to the temple, cry out their sorrows and weaknesses, and come back hoping the deity will take care. Instead use your temple visit to strengthen your mind. Then Bhagavan will always reside in you. Hari Om.
