When you say “I” it consists of your body, mind and athma (jeevathma). Your physical body exists in a cosmic space (Bhootha akasham). Similarly your thoughts exist in a conscious space (Bodha akasam). If you remove the thoughts from your mind, a pure conscious space exists in you. When you meditate, you are able to detach from the thoughts and identify with that conscious space in you. Eventually you will come to realize the pure consciousness (chaithanyam) in you (jeevathma) is the same as the pure infinite consciousness pervading the Universe (Paramathma). Hari Om.
