Hari om Swamiji Please let me know about Moksha….
Posted by Omvathy on December 29, 2016
The word Moksha comes from the Sanskrit root “much” meaning release or liberation. “Freedom and liberation from what”?…… has been explained at various levels. It is the ultimate of the purushardhaas or the purpose of life in Hindu tradition. Moksha is essentially freedom from one’s ignorance, leading to knowledge which is “Sat-Chit-Anandam” (Existence-consciousness and Bliss). It is not a state to achieve after death. There are several seers who attained this level while alive. They are called “Jeevanmuktha”(liberated while alive). Every Sadhana you are advised is a step to that goal. Hari Om.
