Pranamam SwamijiSwamiji I am just sharing a thought of mine which you could answer. Actually this thought is the one that troubled me.Actually surrender was not a problem for me, from this thought all the negative thoughts appeared. It just came one day. I know this thought is from my ignorance and I know my intellect cannot answer a question which is beyond its RealmThe thought is:If the ultimate objective of the soul is to unite with the Supreme, why did He create this world? Had He not created this world, no question of uniting with Him would arise, thus no suffering, no enlightenment, no struggle, nothing. What made the Lord think of such a drama, the drama of this world? Ultimately, we were a part of the omnipresence, then why did He put us into different bodies in order to unite with Him (God) again?Swamiji I am sorry if I am talking foolishness, but please answer.Life was really an inspiration and strength to me…but this thought made me weak along with negative thoughts about Bhagavan.

I don’t take it as a foolish question. Only intelligent people ask such big questions.
Let me just reframe your questions as follows.
Now you are asking the questions for which the Lord must give answers.
Why He created the whole creation is a question He must answer. Right?
Our Scriptures say that it is all His playful sports.
Then why He should play such a Leela? That is another question.
Let me ask you, why He shouldn’t?
When a child plays, do you ask him why he plays?
Can you give logical reasons for all your actions? If you can’t why do you expect a logical reason for such magnanimous things?
Please understand, our Seers encouraged scientific thinking, not unnecessary thinking.
Taking God as a person and comparing the Supreme Intelligence with human intelligence and finding reasons for every thing is merely wasting your time.
So, first of all, find reasons for why you do what you do.
What gives inner satisfaction to you? How you can be of service to this world, whatever be the reason behind it.
Instead of thinking why sugar is sweet, enjoy it.
Similarly make use of this world for your physical, mental and spiritual growth.
I believe, that must be the purpose behind it.
