Respected swamiji, this is a general question. Many parents end up having one kid due to the cost of living and many other facts. I would like to know your point of view on this. Elders advice ” onninonnu venam” . Right now I have one kid. I am not able to take right decision. Bit worried if I will be able to provide good education to two kids . Please give me your thought on this.

You should definitely have a second child. Never worry about the means to raise them. You will be given enough to provide for both. There is destiny above all our plans, and too much anxiety on how I will do it, is not helpful. Do we have any surety of anything tomorrow? Let your kid grow up with a sibling and learn to care and share. Children growing alone will feel isolated later in life. We have to break the barriers of nuclear houses and involve our kids with their cousins, extended family and society at young age itself. By saying “good education” I know you mean sending them to good schools. Is schooling what makes a person successful? Good education is the goodness, values and courage you teach them at home. The strength in knowing they have people to love them all around will let them cruise through life effortlessly. My prayers that life blossoms well at home for you. Hari Om.
