Swamiji why the day ekadashi is so important than other days?
Posted by Subha on February 6, 2017
Ekadasi is a Sanskrit word, which means ‘the eleventh’. It refers to the eleventh day of a fortnight in a lunar month. The human mind is a subtle expression of everything we assimilate from food, our environment and other influences. The moon has a significant influence on the mind as well. Ekadasi is particularly relevant to this relation of moon and mind. On these days, the mind is in a state which is very conducive to meditation and Sadhana. We fast during Ekadasi to keep the body light so the energy is focussed to help the process of contemplation. So Ekadasi is a day to help the spiritual process and progress very easily. Hari Om.
