Dear Swamiji, I am a regular reader of your question answer session and I gathered a lot of information ! Thanks a lot to you and the entire Team!! It has been noted that each individual got only he or she deserves based on the previous actions / thoughts. Now , my question is what if one partner cheated the other one ( having relation with another person) . Is it the fate of the other person to suffer the pain because he or she deserves only this much devotion from the partner ? whereas the later one cheated financially . Both are cheating one another in different ways . What could be the reason for this kind of suffering ? Thanks a lot for your answer . Pranamam , Radha

The problem in the situation explained is that, there is no partnership. Relations don’t happen automatically. They have to be build with caring and commitment. “Partnership” means two people are whole-heartedly sharing a life. You asked “is that the level of devotion deserved”? Devotion and oneness only happens at a very high level of intimacy. Instead of suffering in the relation, see what can be done to change the present state. Quite often simple adjustments and understanding will go a long way to remove the unhappiness. One partner can take the initiative and try to make the relation healthier. A lot of forgiveness is needed at this point. No need to blame yourself or fate for anything. All the goodness you deserve will come based on the quality of your thoughts, ability to forgive and forget, positive attitude and actions. Hari Om.
