Swamiji as you know Hindus always blindly depend on astrology. From birth onwards it has been influencing our lives. We believe in birth star, planets and their influence so on. Elders are instilling this blind belief in youngsters. But no one teaches devotion or japa from childhood. Unnecessary fear always dominate our live. So most of them are afraid to take a firm decision in job, marriage and so on. I want to get out of this addiction of jyothisham. How can I face life without depending on jyothisha. I am also depending jyothisham when I am in dilemma a to take decision. I dont want pass this habit to my children. Please help me

Think of a person born to an alcoholic family. He sees his older generation drink and develops the habit for himself. He knows it ruins his health and life. He asks you what to do? You will tell him there is no choice, but to STOP. Same applies to any addiction including Jyothisham. In your question, you said unwanted, unnecessary, blind belief etc. If that is the case, understand the only way out of it, is to stay away from it. Like an alcoholic who stops drinking you will have anxiety, fear and “withdrawal symptoms” in the beginning. But stick with your decision and face life boldly, with your dependence on Japa and devotion as you mentioned. Look at the good and bad that comes in life as Bhagavan’s prasad and move ahead. Life will be all well and you will be out of this bad habit for ever. My blessings to make a bold change. Hari Om.
