Dear Swamiji, In our puranas, vedic tanthric and pooja karmas, always prayachitham is pointed out such as prayachitha pushpanjali, deha sudhi prayachitham, dravya sudhi prayachitham, kala niyama prayachitham, karma vaikalya prayachitham etc…If our karmas are perfect, then why shud we do this prayachitham. We are not confident about our karmas/duties. Pls comment.

It is not because of a lack of confidence, but the humility in accepting our limitations. What we know, is only what we perceive with our senses. We offer penance with the understanding that there may be an omission at levels beyond that we perceive. There are several dimensions to this Universe, much more subtle than we know. While performing everything to the best of our gross knowledge, we account for unknown faults in our karmic perfection. Hari Om.
