Dear Swamiji, I understand that all inner and outer activities of a person happens at the presence of pure soul. But soul is not involved to nothing like the Sun. If one withdraws all outer and inner activities and ego then he gained Nothingness. A complete zero as the atmosphere. Is it greater than to experience and enjoy happiness, sadness and spiritual study, prayer and supporting others how we can and enjoying the world till we departed from this stage with full enthusiasm?

The famous analogy that Bhagavad Gita gives in this regard is “koorma angaani eva”, meaning like a tortoise that can extend its limbs outside when needed, and withdraw itself as required. We should be able to involve in the worldly matters to the extend that is required and at other times withdraw and merge into the infinite source of bliss within us. Though, it is very easily said, a constant practice is needed to limit ourselves in the world just at the level that is needed. People get frustrated with worldly life quite often, because they stretch themselves beyond what is needed. Hari Om.
