Swamiji, am a devotee of lord Shiva. Am so much attracted to lord shiva. Whenever i feel pain oru whenever am in a problem i feel like he is giving me the strength. From my age 14 i started to worship lordshiva. I used to collect as much as information about shiva. To knew lord krishna we have sapthaham and for devi we have navaham. Do any such sathsangam to knew more about shiva. Also every one read vishnu sahsranaamam and lalitha sahasranaamam. Why there is no importance for shiva sahsranaamam? I wanted to know more about lordshiva, way of worshipping and all. Please guide me.

There is a famous line “Sarva Deva Namaskaram Keshavam Prethi Gacchathi” . This is not to say Krishna is superior to Shiva. It is ok to have an Ishadevatha to maintain focus in your Sadhana. But there is no competition between Krishna, Shiva or Devi. No matter who you worship, a purification of the Self is the sole purpose. And for that, the depth of your understanding and the intensity of your devotion is the most important. Hari Om.
