Poojya Swamiji, BALAYMA / PULA period, we couldn’t go to temple and can’t enter into our home pooja room and also can’t read stotram etc. We are having these in mother’s relative. She is telling 14 days to be taken care and i had read a book as it should be taken care for 16 days. Some people are telling it should be taken care only for the close relative and not the distant relatives of mother. Awaiting swamiji’s reply on this accordingly, we should follow the custom. Dear Ravi,
These customs depend on the individual’s caste, community and place of living.
There is no hard and fast rule for it.
(Usually Pula is observed for close, maternal relatives for 16 days).
Sanyasis and Sadhaks are exempted from these rituals.
No Schedules for this section.
