Respected Swamiji, I am a young IT professional who has ambitions in life. As a true devotee I always try to complete my duties as a good son, brother, uncle. And of course as a good husband and father in future life. I am a great devotee of God. I am a God fearing person.Whenever praying to God, whether in Temple or anywhere ,my mind tends to be more sensitive and cautious .Sensitive and cautious regarding my thoughts at that time.Concerned about whether bad words or bad thoughts will come to my mind.Whether my mind and body are pure enough to pray to God.Whether God will be pleased if I pray with these doubts in my mind. I can say whole heartily that I never used to use such offensive languages in my life against anyone. But in this world we are helpless to block ourselves from hearing or seeing what we don’t like. As we know controlling our mind is a tedious thing and if we try to suppress particular bad thoughts or words more it will express. This has been a regular thing while praying and every time I got hurt when thinking about it.Thinking about whether I am disrespecting God in any manner.Whether I am creating these thoughts. This effects my concentration in my daily activities too.I know mind is a tricky thing and following its orders is absoulte foolishness. But would like to know Swamijis advice for me regarding this. How can I over come this problem.

You are an educated professional. Let me ask you one thing, why do you fear God? God should be your companion, you confidante, your final destination, your parent. Fear has no role in your relation with God. Maintaining purity in word, thoughts or deeds is not something you do for God or out of fear of God. That should be the way you are at any time. Next time you go to the temple go with a feeling that you are going to a dear friend or your Father /Mother. See how your mindset changes. Then communicate openly with God in your true nature, the way you are, without any inhibitions or make ups. Your mind will be automatically purified. Adopt a mantra and constantly chant it when at the temple, so other thoughts don’t bother you. Hari Om.
