hi swamiji, im a girl and i feel attracted to girls and not men. Everyone always tells me that its disgusting or not normal and its really hurtful to hear those things. its what i feel. Some people will come and tell me oh u can change the feelings. i dont want to change im happy. i feel like im myself. but it really hurts when people make these comments. are my feelings towards the same gender such a terribel thing?

It is very well known that people have different sexual preferences, but society generally accepts an attraction to the opposite sex, because biologically that is what keeps the world going, in reproduction. Any other sexual preference is to some extend considered a stigma and socially unacceptable. Within the limits of a friendship, another woman may accept your liking for her, but how many will be willing to be with you the way you see them. Your question does not specify your age. If you are in your teens, understand it is only a passing phase in your maturation and you will grow out of it. Focus your energy and thoughts on getting a good job and successful life first.
