Swamiji, Why Bhagavan Krishna choose Arjuna instead of Yudishtra( I heard that Yudishtira was honest and holding dharma in any situation), for giving Gitopadesam
Posted by Geetha Udayakumar on October 5, 2017
Instead of thinking of Arjuna and Yudhishtra as two people, we have to understand them as two kinds of mind. Yudhishtra upheld Dharma “in his way and was sure of his ways”. He never listened to any voices of reason, even when he was wrong. This is a stubborn mind. On the other hand, Arjuna represents a mind that was willing to totally surrender to Budhi (Krishna/ Voice of reasoning) when he came to a dilemma. A mind that asks Budhi to help it when confronting a difficult situation is shown so many ways to tackle it (Budhi yogam), as Krishna advises Arjuna. Finally, as the last verse of Gita underlines , it is when the Yogeswara Krishna(Budhi with a higher purpose), joins a dhanurdhra Partha(a mind that is strong enough to handle its challenges) come together, that prosperity, values, success and power will happen. Hari Om.
