Thanks so much for all your replies, i have tried hard to make it all practical but sometimes I fail .My husband and I have very different interests,he doesn’t like listening to spiritual discourses like me but he seems mentally stronger than me,his approach to life is more practical.I tend to get affected easily by people whereas he doesn’t get affected .Sometimes he teases me that I will never get better.I feel I need his support but he doesn’t support me the way I want him to instead he discourages me though he is a nice and kind person generally.I also tend to get a lot of mood swings. At work I have got emotionally comfortable now but a few negative people still affect me a lot.I feel a lot of fear inside me. Right now my mother supports me a lot,but later I am afraid how I will manage everything .My husband tells me not to expect much but I feel like I am a clingy person and I need his support. I know I cannot make him the way I want him to be but I think marriage does involve some expectations otherwise marriage will not exist. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have the courage and confidence to do the things I like to do and there is a pressure from society to be a certain way and it’s like you are out in a box which is not really you.How do I come out of this situation.please guide me.Hari Om

You have misunderstood spirituality like a lot of others. I would say your husband is way ahead of you spiritually, without any pretenses. Spirituality is not a cover for your emotional weakness or clinging. The ability to let life flow and take it with courage is real spirituality. You are still trying to make everything around you the way you want. Let me tell you, for now just focus on improving yourself. Leave your husband/co-workers, mother and everyone alone. You take responsibility for yourself. Stop worrying about what others think, and do the right things to the best of your conscience and abilities. When you prove your worth, all the respect and love you deserve will come to you without asking for it. Hari Om.
