Namaskaram Swamiji,Could you please explain Vishnu’s chaturbhuja roopam – what do the conch, chakram, mace and lotus signify.
Posted by ANILA ASHOK KUMAR on December 8, 2017
The conch in the lower right arm represents the 5 elements and the discus in the upper right arm the mind, both together the creative principle. The lower left hand hold the mace called KAUMODAKI, which represents the primeval knowledge from which all mental powers arise, and the lotus is the symbol of mukti. Despite being in water, it is untouched by the water. That is the way we need to live in the world. Hari Om.
