The symbolism of Ganesha has been described in many ways. But essentially he represents the awakened consciousness which will remove all obstacles in ones path. The big head and big ears to think big and listen more. The small eyes to concentrate, the one tusk to selectively choose the good, the small mouth to speak less, the big belly to digest the experiences that life gives, the axe to cut your attachments and rope to tie yourself with higher goals. If your awaken your consciousness through Sadhana and acquire the qualities depicted in his symbolism, no vikhnam can stop you. Hence, we meditate on Ganesha at the beginning of any venture. Hari Om.
