Hi Swamiji, To a question presented to you by a Mr. Anish A , regarding the issue of ‘papam’ to vegetarians, you answered, Animals express life much more than plants. Cannot this be attributed to the idea that plants express (and respond to) life in a completely different way than animals or birds do? Also, with recent research supporting the existence of pain receptors in plants, is there a fundamental difference between taking the life of an animal or a plant?

Dear Sarang,
Plants may feel pain, but they cannot express it, whereas animals can express pain.
When pain is expressed, negative energy is radiated around. So, when an animal is slaughtered, the negative vibration created by its last cry is
sensed by other animals and they get the fear of death. This does not happen in the case of plants.
