This has been wrongly interpreted because of a lack of understanding Sanskrit.The word GO means EARTH/ ANIMAL in Sanskrit. And BRAHMANA means one who has KNOWLEDGE OF BRAHMAN or a self realized individual. So we are praying “May the people be in the care of rulers who protect them righteously and in the path of justice, May the Earth, its animals, and self realized beings be comfortable, and let the whole world be blissful”.
