Dear Swamiji, Desires are created in the mind. If someone has strong desires in the mind which is also a form of energy, I understand that cosmic powers ensure that the desire is fulfilled. Stronger the desire, more the energy released and therefore faster the fulfillment. But scriptures like Geeta suggest that we should not have desires since mind loses balance. Why such contradiction? Or is it that my question is senseless? pls explain..

Dear Shriram,
Please be clarified, Geeta does not suggest that we should not have desires. Rather, it emphasizes on ‘nishkama karma’ ie: action without attachment to its results, in other words, unselfish performance.
Without desire (icha shakthi), there cannot be action (kriya shakthi). And without action, there is no life.
But, if you get emotionally attached to the result, it will lead to more and more expectations, disappointment and frustration.
As you said, your deepest and intense wish form a single focused Prayer and hence it gets fulfilled!
