Since I have started getting spiritual, I am thinking deeply even for small matters and sometimes can’t decide in even simple situations. What to do?

This is a problem that happens to many people in the spiritual path. As you start learning, you identify with the knowledge and take pride in what you know. You cannot conceptualize life. A lot of people overanalyze things, try to apply everything they read in everyday life, look at others through judgmental eyes and tend to think, I am perfect…..but others are not “spiritual” enough to see things my way. This will only make them egoistic, dry and charmless. That is why the guidance of a Guru is essential as you advance in spiritual knowledge. The “Rajo gunam” has to be overcome. Our masters tell you to identify with your ignorance than with your knowledge. If you believe there is a lot more for you to know…..you will always remain a seeker/sadhak, will be humble and surrendered, never carrying the weight of what you read or heard, and try to learn from everyone. Analysis/dissection/logic/ reasoning all happen at the level of the mind. To become truly spiritual, you have to transcend the level of the mind and reach the level of Buddi (vivekam) and then Soul. At that level, you are able to perform your best, with the best intentions, untouched by outcomes and blissful always. Being spiritual should make you take life like a breeze, untouched by the complications it brings, but enjoying every bit of its beauty. It is an ongoing process. Continue your Sadhanas. Chant “Om Namo bhagavathe Vasudevaya” 108 times for 41 days. This cloud will move off your mind. Hari Om.
