Every mind is a part of the Divine mind (pure consciousness or Paramathma). But our minds are contaminated by the influences of our karma Vasanas to varying degrees like a mirror with dust on it. For the inherent Divinity to express and shine, we have to wash off the dust with regular sadhana which is essentially to wipe away the influence of the accumulated karma sanskara. God is not a person to stop you from doing wrong, but an purified and perfected mind which is nothing but the Divine consciousness. When your mind is elevated with understanding and perfected with knowledge you will stop yourself from mistakes, or in other words, the God in you will help you to make the right choices. Hari Om.
