Swamiji, I’ve been listening to ur morning sessions. I’ve some doubts. There’ve been rape cases were victims were 3 month old babies ,90 yr old lady etc. and the villains are mostly addicts or criminals or for settling scores..How come that there was some element in the victim that invited such violence? I hope you will think over it in detail. I hope to get a reasonable answer. Thanks. Namasthe.

In any crime and mostly atrocities, there is some element of vulnerability in the victim that makes the criminal feel that he can commit the crime and still escape. When a criminal sees a baby or an old lady he has lost his discerning capacity to not abuse them. But at the same time he knows these people are weak in one sense that he can escape after the crime or not be caught. That sense gives him a power to commit the mistake. Here the victims are not deliberately doing anything, yet in front of the wrong eyes of the criminal, they are helpless beings. In this scene the fault is entirely of the criminal mind, but in some other situations, the victims can be alert or careful enough to stop the attack or escape before trouble comes. Hari Om.
