Dear Swamiji, It was recently that I happened to watch a talk by Dr Srikumar Rao, someone who has conceived courses on Creativity and Personal Mastery. The talk was about how happiness is hardwired in each one us, on how it is our innate quality to be happy, but yet we all strive throughout our lives to be happy/successful (they are synonyms at many levels). He spoke about how we have conditioned ourselves to an if-then model, If I get this then I will be happy, which in turn jeopardizes our innate quality to be happy. He then went on to endorse that it’s because of investment that we make in the results that we never quite achieve happiness and if we invested enough in the process and do it the best we can, we could be a much contented/ happier person. This I realized is what the Lord Krishna has promoted through the Bhagavat Geeta- to not be bothered about the results, only at giving the job at hand your best shot.
