Gayathri mantra is typically chanted at 4 sandyaas- meaning 6am, 12pm, 6pm or 12am. You can choose a time good for you. Navagraha Mantra needs chanting in order and rhythm as it is a very powerful mantra. As a matter of fact, it is the involvement and concentration with which you chant that brings the positive effect.
