Dear Swamiji, Pranams to you!!! I was working as a Team lead in an organisation and recently changed my role. When I was managing my team, I used to take care of every member and see that the best can be done for them. But after I left, I came to know that some of them have changed their characters and are not like how I thought about them. This hurts me a bit. Also I had given my 100% commitment to the work . But when I changed my role, the new team is speaking about the various things which I did not do. How to take this in life???. I am practicing Japa and Vishnu sahasranama chanting since few months after getting acquainted to your teachings. Regards Sreeram

This is exactly what Bhagavan said 5000 years ago. You only have authority over your actions and intentions, not on the outcome (Karmanyevadhi karyasthe……. BG). Neither do you have authority on things people say behind your back. If you are sure you did to the best of your ability, nothing else matters. Your old job is an old problem. You are in a new position now. You only need to use the comments you got from your old subordinates to perform better in your new role. Moreover, remember people who talk behind your back….really should be behind your back. Meaning you should have the courage to ignore them and move on with life. All of us want to be loved and appreciated. 95% of the people will. But 5% people will find fault with you, no matter how good you are. That is not your fault….it is an inherent fault in their personality. Just be sympathetic to them and spend your time and energy on your new position. My blessings are with you. Hari Om.
