There is something called priority in life. For a woman carrying a baby in her womb the child is her first priority. You feel your husband’s alcoholic habits will affect your child. So you fight with him and cause your pressure to go up. Which will affect your child now? His alcoholism or your blood pressure? When we chose to fight in life, we should know what and when to fight for. Now is not the time for you to fight your husband, no matter what the reason is. Your job is to take good care of your well-being so you will have a healthy child. Why do you think women are send to their parent’s home in late pregnancy? For the same reason….. to keep them away from all mental and physical stressors. If you are concerned about your husband’s habits, talk to your in-laws or some other family members to address it. If not, wait until you have the baby. Once he sees the child and you come back to his house, he might change on his own or you will be able to change his addiction with your care and presence. If not, you can think of taking him for a counseling at that time. When your mind is turbulent, chant Narayana Kavacham. Practice pranayama every morning for 15″ until your BP is controlled. Hari OM.
