pranamam swamiji, i watch your programme on asianet and it is really nice and gives a lot of knowledfe.I wanted to clarify a doubt.Lots of people listen to spiritual discourses with great interest and when other people go through difficult and challenging times they quote from bhagvath geeta ,ramayanam and give spiritual advices quoting what sanyasis say after listening to their sermons. But when problems or challenging situations or any strong temptations come across in their lives they forget these rules and apply their own selfish ,biased and prejudiced rules.i have seen this among my own neighbours and relatives and even among some pious devotees. So we,as adolescents get the message that spirituality is some kind of a switch or device which you can on or off as per your wish or your requirements. This looks very disappointing becos the very same people who advise us act so differently in their own lives.regards divya

Dear Divya,
Reciting from Holy Texts or quoting others is some kind of intellectual information exchange or verbal exercise!
Living in Knowledge requires a lot of self observation; it leads to higher awareness.
(Remeber, many of our Great Masters were academically illiterates!).
One should be able to turn Knowledge into conviction; then only it truly helps in testing or challenging times.
Unless a seeker has true commitment, it is very difficult to put it into practice.
Such seekers are very less in number!
So, be compassionate with the ignorant ones and focus your mind on the Supreme Truth!
Hari Om!!!
