Payovrutum is a vrutham described in Bhagavatham to get a baby as per one’s desire. It is done from the 12th day of the menstrual cycle with predominantly a milk based diet, satwic life style, regular chantings and charity activities. Lakshmi Sametha Narayana is worshipped and milk based Nivedyam is offered too. Feeding the poor, Vedic chantings etc. are also done as part of Payovruthum.
