Dear Swamiji, Recently i heard a lecture from a Pandit that Brahma, Vishnu and Siva are Sangalpa srishti (thrimoorthy sankalpam) means they were created in Bhavana. If so their children Ganapathy, Subramanian and Ayyappa are also sankalpa srishti and why we worship them in temples if they were not there. Pls advs.

It is important to know Siva, Vishnu, Brahma are not people neither are their children. But each of these represent a certain Tatwam that is important in our lives. Please understand what they represent and worship those principles. For example….Vishnu represents the Supreme Intelligence that maintains the world, Ganesha represents an awakened consciousness that helps you to tackle all obstacles, Shiva represents the auspicious knowledge that destroys our attachment to the material world etc. Hari Om.
