It is said that when people die the atma leaves the physical body and it is reborn as it enters another body. Then the population of the world including all the living beings must be constant. Why it is not so? Is this is called re-birth ? will the atma of human and a non-human be the same ? What happens to atma after death?

Dear Sadanandan,
When we understand every thing unscientifically, the doubts will never leave our mind.
When you say that “when people die Atma leaves”, I request you to study our philosophy scientifically.
Atma never leaves the body because it is infinite. Your confused mind with partial learning limits the infinite and brings all the doubts in the mind.
It is the mind which leaves the body. When you say all minds should take rebirth then only the balance of population will remain ever constant.
Scientifically this is a foolish argument.
When you accept that the existence of the bodies are true, then why can’t you accept the existence of the mind? Isn’t it also true?
If a molecule of water is true, the hydrogen and oxygen molecules also must be true.
If you think water alone is true, then you are forgetting the truthful existence of hydrogen and oxygen.
If matter is true, then energy is also true. Energy is absolute Truth and matter is relative Truth.
Similarly mind is absolute Truth and body is relative Truth.
Just contemplate on your own life from childhood to present age.
When you think about the continuation of mind (knowledge, character, emotions, behaviour, skills feelings etc.) then body is a relative Truth.
What I request you is to study more and ask intelligent questions. Then only your mind will grow!
