Hari Om Swamiji, I have a doubt. Sivakshethrathil endukondanu ovu murichu kadakkathath?? Angane cheythal endenkilum kuzhappamundo? Athinte pinnile reason endanu?

This method of not crossing the Ovuchaaalu in temple during Pradakshinam is to make us understand the 4 states of consciousness: Jagrath(awake), Swapna(dream), Sushupti(deep slumber) and the 4th state called Thuriya. The 4th state is the state of pure consciousness (restful awareness) and reminds us that ATMAN is the witness to the other three states of our everyday existence. This 4th state can be achieved by shutting ourselves to the external world and traveling inwards through meditation to realize the deeper layers of our existence. Hence after reaching the ovuchaalu, we walk back through the inside of the pradakshina vazhi coming back to the front of Bhagavan. It is important to understand these concepts and apply it in our lives while we practice these rituals. Hari Om.
