Namaskaram Swamiji,In Ramayana, after Sita Swayamvaram, Parashurama meets Sri Rama and confronts him for breaking the Shiva’s bow. Later he recognize Sri Rama and bows to him. What is the tattvam of this story as both are Maha Vishnu avatars? Also, Parashurama is the only Avatar of Maha Vishnu who is still believed to be living (Parashurama is also mentioned in Mahabharata as Guru of Bhishma, Drona and Karna) whereas all other Avatars returned after completing their life purpose. Why is it so?

Parasurama is said to be a “chiranjeevi”. It is important to understand what the avatar Parasurama represents. Parasurama killed 21 generations of the cruel king Karthyaveerarjuna to protect the Brahmanas. It is important to note here the word Brahmana stands for “one with knowledge and Satwic qualities”. In the world, whenever people with power torture the benevolent, the Universal Divinity will emerge as the protective force to set the equilibrium. Several future generations of people who misuse their power to hurt the less privileged will suffer. Hence the principle of Parasurama is said to be ever alive in the Universe. Hari Om.
