My Name is Padmanabhan and I am staying near Urakam Temple at Trichur. I had Visited Bhagavatha Gramam at Chalakudy yesterday with my Cousin. Iam working as BRanch Manager for Sky Line Builders at Trichur. I have started attending Yoga Classes for the last one month and I am doing my own daily prayers regularly like Sandya Vandanam and Certain Mantras Like Bala for which I have got Upadesam. My Problem is that I am not in a position to COncentrate while doing Meditation. How Can I develop this.

Dear Padmanabhan,
I am very glad to note that you are making efforts to advance in the path of spirituality.
Everything creative in nature is slow, steady and continuous. ( Look at a bud blooming into a beautiful flower!)
Meditation is a slow creative process of tuning our mind to the divinity within. We can’t force it to happen. We can only invoke it by creating a conducive mental atmosphre by being watchful against the negative thoughts flooding our minds ( not only when you sit to meditate, but all through your daily activities.) Be persistent and sincere at this. Slowly you can feel the divinity enveloping you and your mind drifting into a peaceful and meditative mood.
It is quite natural to face difficulties in the initial stages of Spiritual sadhana. Don’t despair. Strive on, surrendering with love and devotion to the Supreme Self.
PLEASE GO THROUGH THE JAPAM WHICH WE MENTIONED IN THIS SITE.
Hari Om!
