Dear Swamiji, As said, a sudra can attain the level of a brahmin if he study veda and other poojas. If he is qualified from thantra vidyapeedam, he can be appointed as poojari in temples. But his culture is of sudras and follows their customs. If a brahmin, he has to follow shodasa samskara and karmas which soodras not following. Then how he can be categorized as brahmin. Pls advs.

Bhagavan has made it very clear In Gita that “Chatur varynam” as designed by HIM is not by birth, but by Gunas and Karmas. A person no matter which house hold he grows in, if he maintains the mindset of a Brahmin, by nature of his Guna or Karma, will be eligible for that designation. Priesthood is only one aspect of it and being educated in Tantric Principles is only to enable a person to perform that job. That is not about the fundamental nature. What Gita describes is the fundamental quality to become a Brahmin in mindset. Hari Om.
