Pranamam Swamiji I have always been an average student and I never really had a goal to pursue in life. A point came where I had to decide about my career so I took diploma in chemical engineering because eventually scored less grades in 12 eventhough I had interest in the subject I was never serious about accomplishing it .Due to which I faced lot of setbacks lost 4 years on the course which I could have completed in 2 years inspite all of this I didn’t give up and I finally completed my diploma. Now I got admission in engineering this was my choice apparently.. eventhough my parents advised to pursue something else .So Im not able to handle the pressure sometimes I feel like did I make the right choice? All my batchmates are ahead of me they have jobs or going on with their further studies and I don’t have any idea of what my future will might be..because I can’t waste any more years while pursuing this I’m scared.. because I am not able to handle the pressure ,feeling like did I make a mistake?

What a young person does between 16 and 25 probably decides the quality of what his life becomes, so it is important to handle those years with care and responsibility. There is no way you can change anything about yesterday, but tomorrow is totally in your hands. What you do today will decide what your tomorrow becomes. If you waste today, just worrying about yesterday, tomorrow will slip off too. So, don’t worry about your friends or their years. Let me congratulate you for pursuing your education with consistency. Two or three years is not a big thing in the whole scheme of life, as long as you do well eventually. A lot of students in foreign countries take a break, work and then come back to studying. It is the guilt you attach to the time lost, that is hurting you now. Instead, take it as a challenge and prove your ability to perform well. Divide any big task into small jobs. Study consistently by a time table. Chant Saraswati mantram daily for 15 minutes and have faith in yourself. My blessings are with you. Hari Om.
