Swamiji, what causes a painful death in a life? My mom who was so innocent and too good to others but life has always given her tragic situations and difficulties and at last a painful death . She was bed ridden for 6 months with so much of pain. It’s been 5 years since she passed away, of course I do miss her a lot and sometimes I cannot stop myself from crying loud thinking the pain she underwent because of liver cancer. But why she had to go through such pains, even the death was so cruel to her.

Your mother was in fact blessed. Tragedies in life is not the problem, your mindset when you go through them is. She had a difficult life, but she was “too good” to others. That is her greatness. We all come with a certain amount of karmic burden that we have to go through in each life. No one is responsible for it. Each life is like a flowing river. Once the flow starts, it has to reach the ocean. Some rivers encounter more rocks than others, but ultimately everything ends up in the Ocean. Your mother has a glorious life where she made others happy, despite her own difficulties. Be proud of that, and live like her. Hari Om.
