Swamiji, my mother expired on Mar.25 her 41st day ceremony comes on May 4. i am working outside India and I will be going to participate in the 41st day ceremony since I am the only son. I intend to keep her thakidu in a temple for 12 months by paying for the thiloma every month and then by next year May we all children will take her moral remains to Thirunelli. On 41st day I also intend to feed the poor and old people in some of the ashrams. Is there any other thing I should do for getting my Mothers Soul to rest at peace. Dear Babu Sadanand,
As I always say, we can not do any thing to offer Moksham to a departed soul; while living in a human body we need to live a spiritual life.
Yet, we can relive the loving memories by doing charity works and reading Holy Texts. We need to express our love, not worry for the departed soul!
Whatever you feel apt, please do it. My prayers and blessings are with you and your family.
