Swamiji, I have been hearing your discourses in Surya channel for the past few months and found them very inspiring & very practical oriented . During one of the discourse you mentioned that our basic dharma is not to take care of our parents & family but to strive to tune and raise our thought levels to reach GOD . I feel the same is a selfish step as we are not caring about our immediate responsiblities , what i understand we should strive to balance both of these duties on earth . More like being attached and deattached at the same time . Also i wanted to know how should we deal injustice in the society . Should we just ignore those or should we raise our voices to correct what is going wrong ? Please clarify if my thought process is in the right direction. With Love, Anup

Dear Anup,
We have three responsibilties.
1. duty to our selves – who is maintaining your mind and prana in the body?
understand, it is not the body! You should discover and experience it.
2. duty towards father, mother and elders – we should provide an environment for them to grow spiritually too, so that their mind becomes strong.
3. duty towards society – where you have to spread the Spiritual values; through spiritual understanding only peope will live in values.
