Namaskaram Swamiji, if vasanas are acquired from the previous lives, then the very first birth the mind had taken should have no vasanas, correct? But as per Bhagavatham nothing new is created here, whatever existed now existed even before. If so how can we define the first birth of mind? Please clarify

Pure consciousness has the ability to manifest as Intelligence or ego/emotional/ intellectual thoughts. The ability to look at certain things as good or others as bad was not created by you, it is expressed by the mind by the association of the consciousness with Trigunas. Gunas are the fundamental driving force in creating a thought of a certain quality. The constant identification with such thoughts create deep impressions in the mind which then become vasanas or the ‘nature of that mind’. Hari Om.
